*A tests are performed using CISCA’s Recommend Test Procedures for Access Floors with the exception of Design Load
- Design Load: The design load is evaluated using the CISCA Concentrated Load Test method on the actual understructure rather than steel blocks. It is determined as the lesser value between half of the ultimate load or the load at which permanent deformation (yield point) begins.
- Safety Factor: The safety factor is calculated as the ratio of the ultimate load to the design load. International standards, along with Dawn Modular Floor guidelines, recommend a minimum safety factor of 2.
